Harry Durham, born on August 9, 1936, embarked on a distinguished journey in education and athletics that eventually led to his induction into the TSSAA Hall of Fame in 2002. His career, marked by dedication and excellence, commenced in 1960 at Childress High School in Wynne, AR, as a basketball coach. Over eight years, Durham's teams made 7 state tournament appearances, with Durham earning the District Coach of the Year title in 1966. He subsequently served at Southside High School and Geeter High School in Memphis, TN, until 1973, further solidifying his reputation as a talented coach.
