  • His basketball feats took high school sports to a new level; he made the TSSAA basketball tournament not merely a series of big games, but a huge event
  • Helped elevate high school sports in the state in the 1950s
  • Has compiled over 700 career victories as a basketball coach
  • Played basketball at Western Kentucky University
