  • Longtime teacher and coach in the Nashville area
  • Began teaching and coaching in 1970 at Oak Hill School
  • Served as the athletic director at Oak Hill
  • Coached football, basketball, track, and golf at Brentwood Academy from 1986 until 1990 and again in 2006
  • Taught Science and Physical Education and served as the middle school athletic director at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin from 1990 until 2005
  • Served as the golf and track coach at Ensworth High School for the 2005-2006 school year
  • Became a TSSAA track official in 1970 and has served as a referee and assistant starter at various TSSAA Track and Field events
  • Officiated the TSSAA track and field state championships for nearly 50 years
  • Served as the TSSAA tournament director for the state track and field championships for eleven years
  • Retired after the 2016 state track meet
