    • Recipient of National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association’s Distinguished Service Award
    • Finalist in National Coaches Association Athletic Director of the Year Award in 1988
    • Inducted into the National Council of Athletic Directors Hall of Fame in 1991
    • In 1991, he was honored by Kingsbury High School Alumni by establishing a scholarship in the name of Bill Todd, proclaiming July 20, 1991 as Bill Todd Day in Shelby County
